Does anyone know where I can find (vintage or reproduction) reed organ carpet peddle pads?
I am restoring an 1881 George Bent Crown Parlor Reed Organ. The case is walnut with its orignal canopy intact. Mice (nasty little beasts) have eaten the carpet pads. The original color: a dark green background with a multi-color Victorian pattern. I would be happy to find any set of peddle pads in a vintage or reproduction. Anyone know if such things exist?
I did the same thing. I went to a carpet store and found a sample that had the pattern and colors that I wanted. I bought the sample and made them. They have lasted well ( 2 years now)
