The two dogs who stayed behind, Kelly Rae, a cockapoo puppy, and Miss Manners, a Lhasa apso, were portrayed as a couple last year. Painting houses and dogs for the past 13 years has made another watercolor painter from Eads, Tennessee, rather prosperous. Dogs and horses are her main jobs, but she has also been asked to paint cats, fish, and a frog. When the client sees the portrait for the first time, his face gives away his reaction, especially when the painting is of a dead pet. They become wistful or teary eyed.
