My neighbors pit bulls entered my private property and murdered my cat in cold blood, what can/should I do?
Neighbor has 2 unregistered/ neutered pit bulls, they chased my cat into my yard. 6 of us witnessed the attack. Dog came out with tiger in its mouth. She slept in the sun with my pit bull honey.
We have had this cat for about 10 years.
We reside in CA Sherman Oaks area.
Well we contacted police but they can not file any criminal charges its going to be a civil matter.

Brittney : I have a pit bull her name is honey, she slept with tiger and my other cat sushi and they sun bathed together. I will never see a pit bull in a bad way. It’s the owners that make them bad.
The option of making friends with the neighbor Is out of the question they are simply lost souls. They chose to live the life of gang members and a burden on society.
I am so sorry to hear about your cat, that is just terrible!
Go over and tell them what there dogs have done and tell them that if they don’t keep their dogs locked up and in their yard, with a muzzle on, your going to contact animal control and the dogs will probably be taken away
If that doesn’t work, probably won’t but it’s worth a try, contact your local animal control place and let them know, like the another person said above, stress to them that next time it could be a child.
I feel so sorry for you that this has happened, I’m getting a cat soon and next door has a very vicious dog and it’s next locked up so I’m just hoping nothing like this happens. I’m so very sorry for your lose.
