How do I get my staffie to put on more weight???
I have a 2 year old tiger brindle male. He is not seriously underweight but is very slender and fit, his chest and neck area is solid muscle but his stomach area is unusually thin compared to the rest of him. I feed him bakers complete dry food which he only eats when he is hungry. I have tried allsorts of foods but is very fussy. Can anyone recommend something i can use or get him?
my dog is exactly the same and we feed him race dog dry mix he is very muscular toned and fit we took him to the vet to see if he should put weight on but the vet said no he is at the right weight for his size. Just take him out alot keep feeding him the dry food. they look better when they have wide necks and shoulders and a slim body with muscular legs. If you are really worried take him to the vet to find out what his weight should be and if he is ok. We were worried but the vet reassured us and he is still the same as he was 6 months ago.
