What are some modern songs that represent the important topics of the Renaissance? This can include things like the revival of art and literature, and new inventions such as the printing press. There is a band I discovered quite recently that I believe thatit is what you need. It’s called Haggard and it’s basically a mixture of classical music, folk music (european folk) and…well…metal.
The topics of the songs are old legends (Herr Manelig, talks about the story of a troll woman who wants to marry an christian knight) and, especially in the album “Eppur Si Muove”, the life of Galileo Galilei.
They also sing in many languages, English, Italian, German and there’s at least one song in Spanish.
Appart the metal part, I think it’s perfect for your need.
