Duncan Phyfe table??
I have recently purchased a table. A friend who knows furniture told me it was a Duncan Phyfe. Now, I am not sure if he means the style or the table itself. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what to look for in who made the table? There are tags (for lack of a better term) stapled to the bottom with some numbers saying it is mahogany, and a few other details. the tags are on the chairs. The mechanical slide in the table says Johnson (cant make out the rest). Regardless, it is in super shape, and I just wanted to know more about it.Thanks ahead of time!
note the style of the legs here….
