I need help to decorate my room and bathroom!?
okay, so my bedroom is connected to my bathroom (not my …toilet room…) in a very very wide doorway. my bedroom is a pentagon shape and my bedroom is kinda a t shaped. the walls are ALL white, because the people who lived here before were older. my dad chose my bed and table and its a dark mahogany color. what colors should i paint my wall and bedding colors and should i get a vanity? i think my room MIGHT get a little crowded, i dont know. suggestions?
I think you need to have an idea of three favorite colors you feel right for you. You need to think of what color makes you feel good in the morning. Think about the light in your room. If you enjoy sunlight but there is no many windows you may want light colors. You could get a nice small vanity if your room is not too big and remember that light colors make a place look bigger than it is while darker colors do the opposite.
Then I would go to paint department in home depot or Lowe’s and pick some catalogs with the pictures of rooms painted with different color options. With all these options to see you can learn how the paint colors are matched with different furniture, wood tone, or bedding styles on those photographs and surely you will find your favorite. Take them home as many as you want so you can really think about them. I would also keep it easy, and simple if your are going to do the painting for the first time.
