I left it in a hot car and it melted all over the passenger seat. The car seat is not leather, it’s the sort of fabric you find in cars. Irrelevant, but my car is a ’96 Accord, so I guess those of you with that car know what fabric i’m talking about. I’ve used everything from stain remover, “Goo Gone” (says to take care of crayon stains, but doesn’t, bleach, and a lot of rubbing and blotting.
I know crayon is a wax. I was told to take an ice cube and rub it along the stain and grab something sharp to flake it off, and even melt the wax again to wipe it. Havn’t tried it yet though.
Because it’s a wax, I’d go with manipulating temperature. Haven’t had to deal with wax in a car yet, but with wax on fabric, you just put something absorbent on it, that’ll really draw it up, like a paper towel. Then heat with an iron. Wax melts, wicks into towel, repeat until it doesn’t work anymore. If there’s anything left, treat it like an oil stain, since wax is oil, just thicker. (longer carbon chain if you know chemistry).
