can white be turned to brown?
my boyfriend has a piece of white furniture….it is one of those ‘hall/doorway’ coat hook things with a bench. It is white in color. NOTHING in my apartment is white! It’s ALL wood. Is there a way to varnish it to make it look, ‘woody’?? help!
Absolutely, there is something you can do to change the appearance of this item of furniture. First step is to go to your local hardware/paint store, they will give you all the correct advise on what products you will need to strip the old paint off so that you have a new surface to either varnish, stain or give a distressed look too your b/f hallway furniture. Paint stripping isnt always easy and sometimes you can get a gentle sandblast to remove all the paint especially if there are parts of the fruniture that have intricate turns. Best bet is your local paint/hardware store, they will give you the best products to get the job done.
