For those who got released was it a right move, and for those who quit or left on their own terms was it a right decision..
When you lay it out like that, it’s pretty amazing how many people they cut.
I think that for the WWE list in particular, the vast majority of the releases were just cutting away excess baggage, so to speak. I mean, the only guy who parted ways with WWE and was a main event star was Bobby Lashley. Ric Flair was about ten years past over-the-hill and Mick Foley was commentating, even though I liked him on the mic.
There were alot of underrated guys that got let go. I though that Snitsky could have been a big time, Umaga-like heel. Super Crazy and Paul London were both two really talented guys that were never properly utilized. I mean, if Brian Kendrick can make a big star then certainly Super Crazy, London and Shannon Moore could have as well.
Most of the rest though were nothing special, even if they were mis-used a bit. I mean, Coach was just annoying at the end, ditto for Colin Delaney. Big Daddy V was disgusting and the majority of the remaining guys never really made any sort of impact or connection with the crowd.
On the TNA side, the only significant one that could really come back to hurt them was the decision not to renew Christian Cage’s contract. It’s pretty clear that he is WWE-bound, and it looks like they’ll push him with Edge, assuming that he’s the one who attacked Jeff Hardy.

Housesitter [VHS] $0.91 The teaming of Steve Martin and Goldie Hawn would seem to have been sure-fire casting, but Housesitter’s writing is never strong enough to sustain it and the film’s hit-and-miss quality has more misses than hits. Martin plays an architect who builds his dream house for his high school sweetheart (Dana Delany), then surprises her with a marriage proposal–both of which she rejects. Distraught, he g… |
