Will China 2012s Olympic Gold?
It might be early but not to early to guess who will win the trampolines sport gold in 2012 but I am just trying to build up the buzz of Olympics coming to London. One of the biggest thing happened in the UK after 1966′s World cup. 2012 will be another year of great sports because you will have Olympics along with European Championship to watch.
Gymnasts perform their acrobatic skills in trampolines, which bacame a part of Olympic games in 2000. Some common acrobats are somersaults and twists. Somersaults are certainly one of the hardest jumps while trampolining because you have good body strength to keep body shape and control the jump. For many years Russia have produced several superstars in acrobatics and now they are being challenged by China and Japan. In 2008 USA and Russia were out performed by China who finished top in medals tally. China finish top with 51 gold medals and USA took away 36 gold medals in second position. 15 gold medals is a massive difference. This is absolutely brilliant from the Chinese.
After this success almost all kids want to be a part of gymnastics whether it is to do with trampolines or anything else, hence parents are getting their kids either 8ft trampolines to 10ft trampolines. It’s fantastic to see the children of the nation taking up on the sports which has only been in frame for few years. Its the success of the nation in the Olympics that is getting these kids interested in these sports.
In UK kids are only focused on playing football and some play cricket occasionally. Even if they start from when they are kids when they get to the national level they cannot perform as we have seen from this year’s World cup. I am not sure who is this down to but this is not right. Though I have to say that from the population China has, it probably allows them to have specialists on every single game. In the coming 2012 Olympics in London I believe China will take the overall lead in gold medals again.
