Would triple majoring in Accounting, French Studies and Russian/Polish Studies be wise?
The school I’m attending, UMASS, offers “East European Studies,” basically Polish and Russian, which I’ve grown up listening to anyways. I have to start an Accounting MBA from the start, but I have all of my humanities down so I’ve got the time to square away another major. I would just like to know if having another language (Accounting and French are already set in stone) would give me an edge when it came to job hunting?
I don’t think this is a wise choice. It’s probably best that you stick with a double major and one minor or two majors and no minors. I agree with the last answerer in that you’ll be stressed and in college forever. No to mention, if you don’t have scholarships to help you pay, you’ll be in a massive amount of debt and you’ll be giving away your first 10 years of a good job to payback all your loans.
You should be able to find work with the two degrees that you’ll be getting. Maybe what you could do is at the account as a minor. This way, you won’t take as many accounting classes but still have that area to fall back on if you want to pursue it at a later date.
