my gerbil will not come out from under the entertainment center, and i have 2 cats HELP?
My gerbil Sally will not come out from underneath my entertainment center. I am afraid my 2 cats will eat her if they get to her before I do…

Close the cats off somewhere. See if Sally was just afraid of the kitties or if that was why she was scared. If she doesn’t come out after that, put food on your hand or a trail out from under the entertainment center. If she doesn’t come out make sure she can’t get to wires or cables and stay in that room, watch tv or something. Maybe she wasn’t hungry. This will take patience and your cats may get aggravated. But continue to wait for little Sally. Eventually she should come out. If not, ask someone (brother/mom/dad) to go to the store and buy treats while you watch her. If she doesn’t come out by the time they’re back make a trail or treats by the food. If she still does not come out you can try warming baby food and putting it on a cup lid you get from McDonalds or Wendys and sticking it near the opening underneath the entertainment center. Warm baby food has a scent that attracts alot of things (hamsters, cats, guinea pigs), and are good for them. You can try sunflower seeds if that doesn’t work. Good luck with little Sally.
