Strange parakeet behavior?
Why is my budgies stool so watery? and why is she fluffed up a lot?
-I feed her mostly seeds/pellets and keep a calcium block in the cage.
-Change the water every day
-Cage is in a good area, no drafts or anything
-She is very active, loud and playful, and goes out of her cage to fly like normal. (the complete opposite of what a sick bird would do.)
I wanted to take her to the vet but her behavior seems normal + it is a bit expensive.
Any help is appreciated?
I don’t think this is caused only by eating too much fruit.
Since she’s fluffed up, certainly she is seriously sick .
Avian vet quickly! Don’t worry about the cost. You might end up with a dead bird otherwise!
You say she acts normal… but the fluffing up is definately not normal.
