dinning table varnish is coming off?
everything is sticking to it, i have thought about sanding it down and revarnishing it, but would the same thing happen. also is there anything else i could do.
Use ‘sugar soap’ to wash off any grease. Then sand with coarse sand paper, and dust off. Then sand with fine sand paper and dust off. Use a ‘tack cloth’ to remove all fine particles, then apply first coat of varnish. Re-sand with fine sandpaper, and apply a further two coats.
(Buy sugar soap and a tack cloth from most good DIY stores)
