The aesthetic movement was passed its peak by the time she began writing in 1895. However the influence lingered on and some of the Bloomsbury Group of philosophers, artists and writers which formed around her family from 1905 could be regarded as successors to the aesthetes – especially Lytton Strachey, Roger Fry & Duncan Grant.
